DIRECTIONS FROM SOUTHEND: 

A127  towards London past KFC and McDonald’s on left Continue
for mile and a half a mile and leave by slip road
SP A176 Basildon.

Follow slip to roundabout and turn right to follow the
A176 into Basildon passing another roundabout. 
A BP garage is ahead of you and a railway bridge to the right.
 
Continue on A176 passing under railway bridge and follow
the road until you reach roundabout, BASILDON HOSPITAL.

Go right around the roundabout back to the direction
you’ve just come from.
 
As you go down the hill, passing through pedestrian controlled
lights take the first turning on the left. THE KNARES.
 
Continue along the Knares for half a mile until you reach Pub
CASTLEMAYNE and shops on left.
 
Continue along THE KNARES and take the 2nd turning left,
which is GAYNESFORD. 61 is on the right on the bend.
