DIRECTIONS FROM LONDON: 

Follow signs for A12 and then at Gallows Corner Romford,
A127 SP Basildon Southend.
  
After approximately 8 miles, you will reach a roundabout,
McDONALD'S on left.
 
Continue on the A127 for half a mile and leave by slip road
SP A176 Basildon. 

Follow slip road and continue left at junction to follow the
A176 into Basildon passing through two roundabouts. 
A BP garage is ahead of you and a railway bridge to the
right.

Continue on A176 passing under railway bridge and follow
the road until you reach roundabout, BASILDON HOSPITAL.
Go right around the roundabout back to the direction
you’ve just come from. 

As you go down the hill, passing through pedestrian
controlled lights take the first turning on the left. THE KNARES. 
Continue along the Knares for half a mile until you reach
Pub CASTLEMAYNE and shops on left.
 
Continue along THE KNARES and take the 2nd turning
left, which is GAYNESFORD. 61 is on the right on the bend.
